The 3rd balloon festival in Thailand start on the morning of December 3, 2009, at 06.30. Day’s Events Close December 6. In the evenings there are ‘train’ rides around the ancient sites and you may also make worship Buddha within the temple grounds. The Thailand International Balloon Festival builds international awareness of Thailand, showcasing the wonderful weather conditions for balloon flying and the country’s unique and beautiful hinterland, proving that Thailand is more than a sunny beach!

This is the first International Balloon Festival to be held in the atmosphere of amongst the past grandeur of this ancient site – a unique opportunity to enjoy the show staged by Thailand Fine Arts Department – tickets adult 50 baht, child 20 baht – all proceed are donated to the Fine Arts Department for care and maintenance of these ancient relics.
